Anyone else think WW2 was just a big betrayal/for nothing?

Sigh, War itself is all for nothing. Whoever kills, destroys, and pillages the most wins. I think War is just a big waste of money, resources, and lives. There is no real winner, as everyone loses. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question.
